Historical Society of Dayton Valley (Nevada)
Docent Program |
|
The Historical Society of Dayton Valley has an active docent program. The Docents not only staff the museum during its regular open hours (Sat. 10 am - 4 pm; Sun. 1 pm - 4 pm) but also keep the museum open every day during May for Historic Preservation Month. (Note that the museum is now closed for the winter, and will reopen in mid- to late February, depending on weather.) If you would like to volunteer to help staff the museum, learn and teach history, assist with museum acquisitions, clean or do odd jobs, or any other volunteer activity, we have a place for you! We learn, we teach, we help, and we have A LOT of fun! There is a Docent meeting at the museum once a month, on the fourth Wednesday at 10:30 am. For information on upcoming meetings see the latest docent newsletter below or call 775-246-5543, 775-246-3527, or 775-246-8765, or email the Secretary. For more information on current activities, below are links to our newsletters.
